The Wanted ‘Ice Age’ Interview

Check out my interview with The Wanted. Said Nathan Sykes,

I’m a massive fan of the (Ice Age) franchise. It is the sort of film kids grow up with and all four films are strong individually. They keep it fresh and institute new characters who are exciting, as well as the original pack. That was me, Nathan, with an intelligent answer.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith Interview

Read my interview with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.

Can you share a little more about where Aerosmith is at with this album?

Steven Tyler: We’ve been out here working for the last year. The last four months, Joe came to L.A. while I’m doing Idol. We finished working with Jack Douglas and the record came out better than we thought. We knew we’d finish it. It was nose to the grindstone, beyond my wildest expectations, with how great [drummer] Joey [Kramer] played and how [guitarist] Brad [Whitford] played and how [bassist] Tom [Hamilton] played. What Jack brought is astounding.

The Wanted Interview

Read my interview with The Wanted. Said Jay McGuiness,

I like video editing, which is sort of geeky. When we started, and this was key to our success, we used to record videos and put them out every Wednesday. We kept doing it, and fans were crazy about it.

Carly Rae Jepsen Interview

I recently interviewed Carly Rae Jepsen. Said Jepsen,

“When you write a bunch of songs, it’s like being asked to pick a favorite kid. You wonder what will be loved and which will just be my own little journal entry that I personally like. It was a surprise that it took off the way it did, but a welcome surprise.”

Matthew Morrison Interview

I interviewed Matthew Morrison from Glee. I asked him about how far he’s come in the past two years:

“I didn’t think the world would be ready for this kind of show. Now it is hard to walk down the street without being recognized. While it might be a case of ‘be careful what wish for,’ with lost anonymity, it is a dream come true! I am also in a place where I am getting ready to release my first single and album.”

I made a huge change to my tees. It’s not a tween or juniors anymore. It’s more for girls and women now. It’s better quality and will have a higher price point. I have a whole new team, from people I work with to the manufacturer.

Adam Levine Interview

I got to interview Adam Levine from Maroon 5 about his new karaoke app and his involvement with The Voice. What’s Levine’s favorite karaoke song?

Al Green “Stay Together.” I also like “Welcome to the Jungle” to get things going and to bring the house down. Run-D.M.C., too!

J Cole Interview

I interviewed J Cole recently, and we spoke about touring with Rihanna, working with Missy Elliott, and acting. Said Cole,

I want to try my hand (at acting), but I want to make sure I am good. My mother is an actress; she is incredible and should have been a movie star. That is how good she is, so it’s in me. But if I was going to do it, I want to do it good.

Martin Solveig Interview

Read my interview with French DJ Martin Solveig over at Artist DIRECT. Said Solveig,

You can never predict anything with music. There is a large part of music and how it connects with people that you don’t control. This is obviously excitement about making music and creating stuff. Honestly, I think that there is probably a little magic in the fact that there is not much that falls under control.
