Anthony Raneri Interview

I interviewed Anthony Raneri of Bayside and, of course, we got talking about his favorite NYC borough. Said Raneri,

“What I love about Queens is that it’s the mix of the suburbs and the city. That’s what people who live in Queens love about Queens: great parks, places to hang. It’s like a suburb, and I had a very tight-knit situation. But at the same time, there was a music scene, and there were clubs in Bayside for punk and hardcore bands. [Manhattan] was just a 20-minute train ride away and we had that, coupled with the wholesomeness of the suburbs.”

Interview with Maria Brink

I interviewed Maria Brink of In This Moment about her fashion evolution. Said Brink,

“I gotta switch it up. I just go with the dress look, but I wear doll dresses that look like they went through a wasteland and got burned and ripped up in the process. That’s the theme of everything, a ‘star-crossed wasteland.’ That represents the life I have lead. I like that weathered, torn look. I dunno where I will be next with my look, but I am there now.”

American Idol Recap: Top 10 Finalists

Read my latest American Idol recap.

America has voted and the ‘American Idol‘ Top 10 is as follows. This batch of 10 hopefuls was voted on by the whopping 40 million fans who tuned in over the past two nights as the competition gets tougher, the talent pool shrinks and the stakes increase. Three other contestants advanced as wild cards; those who were given a stay of execution, so to speak, were chosen by the judges and then voted on by fans.

Sinead Norenius Interview

As a blogger, I felt that there was no one unifying organization that both promoted the profession and provided support, education and an avenue to build relationships with brands that did not have an ad network affiliation. I wanted to create an organization that would help raise the level of credibility, endorse and support the bloggers that are serious about blogging and help moderate and manage the relationship between bloggers and brands. No other organization has a consumer outreach arm either.

American Idol Recap: Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina,

A lot of early favorites got the go-ahead, like the soulful, somewhat hysterical Jacob Lusk, whose ‘God Bless the Child’ was deemed the best ‘Idol’ performance ever by longest tenured judge Randy Jackson. Lusk was hysterical when he got his good news, singing his way down the walk of fame. He sobbed like an infant last week when he was upstreamed.

American Idol Season 10 Top 24 Finalists

The American Idol judges chose their Top 24 finalists from Season 10.

Naima Adedapo: With a blue dress and a flower in her hair, she was deemed inconsistent but “different and unique.” She isn’t going back to cleaning toilets at venues any time soon.

Clint Jun Gamboa: With his clean cut looks and serial killer specs, this Travie McCoy-Bruno Mars hybrid is propelled by his vocal range.

Devin Townsend Interview

I interviewed Devin Townsend talks about sobriety keeping his shit together. Said Townsend,

“It’s not as glamorous and the parties are weaker, but my nature has always been to try and make interesting and complicated statements, and for the level of complexity involved with these current records, things such as file management and computer maintenance on down to just keeping my work area clean were essential components in not letting the sheer bulk of work become overwhelming.”
