This episode was more about the judges criticizing each other to the point of PopCrush yelling, “Children, behave!” at our screens than it was about the singers. The four members of the panel bicker in an insulting way.

The final 17 — yes, 17, which we’ll explain in a moment — were chosen in an emotionally exhausting and, at times, hard to watch episode of ‘X Factor.’ The judges had to crush hopes, dash dreams, break hearts and send 16 people home. Judgin’ ain’t easy, by any means.

Tonight, the Top 32 ‘X Factor‘ hopefuls found out who would be their mentors and judges, went to their homes in different parts of the world and were introduced to the guest judges. Rihanna and Enrique Iglesias participated, while Mariah Carey was prevented from appearing due to Hurricane Irene.

The 100 contestants were subjected to a boot camp, where they were assessed regarding their ability to sing, dance and look good. It’s not just how they sound; it’s about the total package of voice, choreography and style.

My recap of the ‘Asian F’ episode on Glee is up now over at Pop Crush.
On tonight’s episode of ‘Glee,’ which was called ‘Asian F,’ two supporting cast members stepped to the forefront to offer a little more insight into the psyches and their makeups. Obviously, Mike Chang was a central figure, since he got an A-minus (aka an ‘Asian F’) on a chemistry test, which incited the ire of his traditionalist father.

With a healthy crop of talented hopefuls on their way to the next phase of the competition known as “Boot Camp,” the divide between the good and the great will start to develop. The best, brightest talent will start to rise to the top.

As the judges sifted through the talent, they have begun to bicker a little bit more, with former ‘American Idol‘ cohorts Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul going head to head and even pulling a contestant into the middle of their bickering.

The judges were starting to lose faith in Florida, as the Miami auditions produced more freaks than viable candidates. The scene moved to Dallas, for more homegrown talent, but plenty of freaks also surfaced there. This episode focused a little more on the weirdos. Perhaps the weirdest thing to happen? Judge Nicole Scherzinger adopting a southern accent while in Texas, saying “y’all” repeatedly. When in Texas, do as the Texans do.

The single most shocking moment of the two hours? When Geo Godley, 43, dropped trou, sending Paula Abdul running for the rest room. Ick. Obviously he didn’t advance! One tone deaf contestant — you won’t remember her in a week, we can’t less than 12 hours later, which should tell you something about her “talents”– even got into a shouting match with Simon Cowell!
