Manners Interview

I interviewed Manners’ guitarist Ian Bates for Noisecreep, and asked about any hidden skills or talents.

I can play accordion and banjo, which people would probably find odd. If I’m not making some kind of music, I like buying a bunch of weird ingredients from the grocery store and play Iron Chef by myself in the kitchen.

The 10 Best Pantera Songs

Check out my feature, ’10 Best Pantera Songs’ over at Loudwire.

Their catalog is littered with some of the most memorable riffs of all time, and lyrical declarations that have been tattooed on bodies and were screamed back at them at live shows.

Oprah Interviews Rihanna

Rihanna recently spoke with Oprah about Chris Brown. Said Riri,

“I lost my best friend. Everything I knew switched in a night and I couldn’t control that… As angry and hurt and betrayed as I was, he made that mistake because he needed help. Nobody was going to say he needs help without looking at the source. I was more concerned about him.”

Justin Bieber in VIBE Magazine

Read my post about Justin Bieber interview in the September issue of VIBE Magazine.

While the photos are banging – featuring the teen pulling up his coat collar on the cover while rocking side-parted, ’50s hair and conquering the moon — the feature provides no elucidation.

Joe Jonas Girlfriends

Read my latest feature, ‘Joe Jonas Girlfriends!’

Jonas is almost more well-known for his dating exploits and the array of gorgeous women that he squires on his arm than he is for his music at this point. Come on, everyone knows that he reportedly broke up with Taylor Swift over the phone in a 27-second call, a move he’s likely regretting since her career soared.

Glee Project Recap

Read my recap of the final Glee Project!

The finale of Season 2 of ‘The Glee Project‘ aired tonight (Aug. 14), with Blake, who PopCrush repeatedly predicted would win, being crowned the winner, earning a seven-episode arc on the show and a recording contract with the ability to tour. There was no cheating this year, with all of the finalists getting roles. Only Blake won and well, he deserved it.

HVY MTL Report

Read my review of Hvy MTL, ‘Mud and Metal Invade Montreal With System of a Down, Killswitch Engage + Others.’

While Heavy TO took place in Toronto concurrently, with the lineups swapping on Saturday and Sunday, Hvy MTL unfolded in one of the loveliest cities in this French-speaking province over the Aug. 11 and 12 weekend. Since Montreal boasts an edgy, European vibe as a city, it makes sense that Heavy MTL, which launched in 2008, was canceled in 2009 and has been going strong since 2010, would effectively mirror a European fest.

Taylor Swift, ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’ Review

Read my review of Taylor Swift’s ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together.’

It’s the first taste of her new album, ‘Red,’ which she revealed will drop on Oct. 22, almost two years to the day after ‘Speak Now.’ Besides being a massive, singalong song, it’s also one of the catchiest tunes she’s ever penned.

Lady Gaga on Cover of September Issue of Vogue Magazine

Read my post all about Lady Gaga in the September issue of Vogue magazine.

Gaga looks like a Victorian princess in her purple-pink, figure-hugging, floor-skimming, cinched-at-the-knee gown and halo of hair. But first, let us take a minute to explain the significance of the September issue of Vogue.

Bridgit Mendler ‘Ready of Not’ Song Review

Read my review of Bridgit Mendler’s single ‘Ready or Not.’

Bolstered by a backbeat that follows Mendler’s voice throughout the song, ‘Ready or Not’ will inspire pre-teen girls to grab their hairbrushes and use them as makeshift microphones while they sing in front of a mirror. It’s a cute, frothy, female-leaning pop gem.
