Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran Interview

I spoke with Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran about their upcoming album, ‘All You Need is Now.’ Said Rhodes,

We don’t ever run out of ideas and we like working together. We’re a different unit than most. We feel what we have within the band is the ability to create whatever we want at any given time. We operate within our own vacuum; we don’t seal out everything outside but we enter a room and close the doors and do what we want. It’s the balance between rock guitar and electronics, and of course, the sound of Simon’s voice.

Sean Yseult Interview

I interviewed former White Zombie bassist Sean Yseult for Noisecreep, and we spoke about the time Al Jourensen almost killed her. Said Yseult,

“We were with Gibby from Butthole Surfers, and it was after a late night at The Viper Room. Johnny (Depp) had a home up in the hills and we were there, and Al backed up too fast in his hot rod, and we were teetering over a cliff. Every day was an adventure!”

Jesse McCartney Interview

Read my interview with Jesse McCartney, where he invites me over for dinner!

You still “entertain” off stage, with food! What’s your signature dish?

I have a few special dishes, so you would have to come over and eat them!

Sign me up! It’s a date. I just had this funny image of you, wearing big white chef’s hat!

It’s great. I don’t wear the chef’s hat. I admit I might have apron and it might be in my top left drawer. Overall, I am a big fan of French cuisine. It’s the most refined in the world. I have traveled to France a dozen times by now, and I have the most amazing experience with foods there. I learn something new there and it’s a passion of mine. I love learning more and more about my side hobby.

Read my interview with Crowbar’s Kirk Windstein about turning sober. Says Windstein,

“I wanted to be a better father, a better man to my fiancée, a better musician, songwriter and person,” Windstein said. “I am much better at business and being productive when I am sober.”

Ne-Yo Interview

I interviewed Ne-Yo about ‘Libra Scale,’ Lady Gaga, and Fatherhood. Said Ne-Yo,

Someone like Lady Gaga shook up the world because she brought back creativity. I was not, ‘Look how pretty I am.’ Some will get this concept; some will not. Love me or hate me, it’s my vision and my art. That’s how Gaga is and I love her for that.

Cradle of Filth Frontman Reveals His Favorite Horror Stories

Here’s my interview with Cradle of Filth vocalist Dani Filth. Said Filth,

“Underneath, they are all fairy tales and they are all metaphors for sex and death. Look at the story of Hansel and Gretel. The witch forces the little boy naked into a fire to roast him alive? It’s sick, really. These are not children-friendly stories. They are sanitized and passed down orally.”

Buckcherry’s Josh Todd Interview

Here’s my interview with Buckcherry singer Josh Todd. Said Todd,

“We came back from obscurity and no one cared, and we made the record of our career. We are on the third record since then, and it has been such a crazy ride. And we’re grateful. We’ve been on both sides of the pendulum and have experienced the peaks and valleys, but we’re staying with our foot on the gas, making sure it doesn’t get away from us. We know what it’s like to not have it.”
