Matt Drake Interview

I interviewed Evile vocalist-guitarist Matt Drake about how the band is handling the death of bassist Mike Alexander. Said Drake,

“We each reacted to it in our own ways so I could really only speak for myself. Things are fine now. You come to accept these things as well as you can over time.”

Andy Atkins Interview

I interviewed Andy Atkins, vocalist for A Plea for Purging, about the bands’ recording process. Said Atkins,

“We have been spending the summer hanging, BBQing, and riding motorcycles. The music is coming along nicely and isn’t a constant nagging “job” that we have to do but a fulfilling pass time during our downtime from massive summer parties! I spend most of my days cruising the highways and streets of Nashville. It’s a great time for reflection and I get much inspiration from it.”

I spoke with H2O vocalist Toby Morse about their upcoming ‘Don’t Forget Your Roots’ covers album. Said Morse,

“I have been vegetarian since 1988 because of being inspired by my roommates — Civ, Walter, and Alan Cage — and to record ‘Cats and Dogs’ by Gorilla Biscuits, a song that truly got me into animal rights and becoming a hardcore vegetarian, is truly an honor.”

“I just want the damn thing out, but it’s hurry up and wait. That’s the story of the business. I wish it was out immediately. We are doing special packaging for it, and that doesn’t help my anxiety of wanting to get it out.”

Don Jamieson Interview

I interviewed comedian Don Jamieson, and we spoke of how he ditched the Emmy’s for a Murderdolls show. Said Jamieson,

“We were like, ‘We gotta get to Dingbatz.’ We didn’t want to miss Wednesday 13. We knew he went on at 11. It was like, ‘F— the Emmys!’ We didn’t even pick them up. We just said, ‘Mail ’em to us!'”
