Marcia Kilgore Interview

Read my interview with Marcia Kilgore.

“… we realized that girls didn’t only want great body butters and shower gels and shimmer lotions, they wanted brilliantly formulated cosmetics that had excellent ‘bang for buck.’ So we called up our sources in Italy and France, pulled in a few color experts and makeup artists along the way, and started the march towards the launch of Soap & Glory cosmetics.”

BN: What is your favorite luxury product?
My kit is stocked with Dior 5-Colour Eye Shadow Palettes. I love the fact that I can start off sheer then build the color up to the consistency that I’m looking for. I would definitely recommend starting off by applying an eye shadow primer for maximum coverage.

Vinnie Paul Interview

I interviewed Vinnie Paul for Loudwire, and we spoke about the new album. Said Paul,

We all come from traditional metal bands and backgrounds, so it was a great breath of fresh air to play in a band that was rock ‘n’ roll, blues and Southern rock. We got that out of our system and got really focused on going back to our metal roots. It’s heavy, focused, groove-oriented and I’m excited about it.

Carlos Pena Jr. of Big Time Rush Interview

Read my interview with Carlos Pena Jr. of Big Time Rush and we spoke about the band’s upcoming tour with One Direction, and about boy bands over the years. Said Carlos Pena Jr,

I was all about Backstreet Boys, but I can’t pick a fave between them or ‘N Sync. Do you remember that one band LFO? They were great. I really think the music was so pure back then. Nowadays, songs are about sex, drugs and alcohol, but back then, they talked about other things. When Backstreet Boy sang, “I drive myself crazy,” it was nothing negative. It just about going crazy thinking about when I’m not with you. It was pure. I hope we can bring that back.

Stephen Carpenter Interview

I did my interview with Stephen Carpenter about Sol Invicto (you might know him from his other band, the Deftones). We spoke about the new EP, ‘Initium II.’

“The sound of ‘Initium II’ is the natural progression from the debut EP. ‘Initium II’ is a nice bridge between the old stuff and the new stuff we have coming up. It’s heavy, but not over the top but still has a strong electronic vibe running throughout.”
